The DYO-FIA cable fault indicator is an online monitoring device installed on medium-voltage cable lines. It is used to monitor the cable's operating status in real time and quickly locate line faults such as short circuits and grounding. This product uses a split-core current transformer (CT) to detect fault current, eliminating the need to cut cables or interrupt power supply, making installation faster, safer, and more reliable.
The product is widely used in ring main units, branch boxes, transformer substations, cable trenches, and cable tunnels in 5kV–38kV distribution cable lines, and is a crucial monitoring unit for rapid fault location in smart distribution networks
Short Circuit Fault Detection
Short circuit fault detection is achieved by detecting sudden changes in cable current and direction using an open-type CT.Ground Fault Detection

The open-type CT has high accuracy and can automatically adjust the detection sensitivity according to the load, improving the accuracy of fault identification.
No wire breaking, stripping, or power outage required
Installation is simple: just snap the open-type CT onto the outside of the c able.
Installation time is extremely short, typically 1–3 minutes per point.
Strong anti-interference capability; optimized CT magnetic circuit design ensures accurate measurements even under high current surges or tightly packed cables.
Local indicators, including LEDs, multi-color flashing, etc., display permanent faults, ground faults, transient faults, low voltage alarms, and directions.
Fully sealed structure, IP68 protection rating. Wide operating temperature range: -15℃ to 55℃.
Moisture-proof, salt spray-proof, and corrosion-resistant design, suitable for long-term use in underground cable trenches and ring main units.
