A vicious circle between temperature and contact resistance will eventually cause the equipment to malfunction or even burn out. Excessive temperature may cause combustion, explosion, or even equipment damage or quality accidents.


For high-voltage electrical equipment, due to the limited means of fault testing, it is not easy to find the temperature exceeding the limit point in the switch box and the closed busbar. With the prolongation of the temperature rise time, the degree of oxidation will increase due to heat generation at the place where the temperature exceeds the limit, which may cause major accidents such as burning busbars, contacts, contacts, disks, and power outages.


2. System composition of wireless temperature measurement system


The wireless temperature measurement system consists of three parts: a wireless temperature sensor, a temperature measurement communication terminal (temperature receiver), and a temperature monitoring and early warning workstation.


Wireless Temperature Sensor: Measures the temperature at the point of contact. Mainly installed in places prone to heat. Each wireless temperature sensor has a unique ID number, and the installation location of each sensor is recorded during actual installation and use, and stored together with the number in the computer database of the temperature monitoring workstation. The sensor automatically transmits the temperature data of the monitoring point at regular intervals (can be set in advance), but if the temperature is found to be abnormal, it will immediately alarm and is not limited by the sending cycle.


Wireless temperature receiver (: installed in the substation, installed according to the installation area, responsible for receiving the temperature data measured and sent by each wireless temperature sensor (probe), and connected through the bus, upload the temperature measurement data to the management computer, and respond to the management software Order.


Workstation system: wireless temperature measurement client software, real-time display of temperature data and change curves of monitoring points in each monitoring area, and query and analysis, once the temperature is found to be overheated, or the temperature rises sharply to the set alarm temperature, it will immediately alarm.


3. Temperature measurement system of wireless temperature measurement system


For substations that have been put into use, the power distribution room adds a wireless temperature measurement system. The previous solution required opening holes in the switchgear and installing receiving devices, which consumed a lot of manpower, material and financial resources, and the power outage time was relatively long, and professionals were needed. The new centralized wireless temperature measurement system is mainly aimed at the special situation of adding a wireless temperature measurement system to the transformer substation that has been put into use, and the power distribution room. A new solution is proposed, which is especially suitable for the temperature measurement of existing stations and outdoor equipment, and is also suitable for new stations. .


The engineering volume of the scheme is small and the switchgear does not need to open holes and wires, which greatly saves the time and cost of transformation. It can be displayed centrally in the substation room and power distribution room, and can be connected to the main station through various communication methods, such as RS-485, optical fiber, and Ethernet communication networking. With SMS alarm function, the alarm phone number can be set in the centralized display device in advance, and when there is an abnormality in the monitoring, the SMS will be sent to notify the relevant personnel in time.

4. The working principle of the wireless temperature measurement system


Through the single-chip microprocessor control of the wireless temperature sensor, the temperature of the device under test is converted from the temperature sensor into a digital signal, and then transmitted to the reader through the wireless transmitting and receiving module, and the temperature information collected by the microprocessor is communicated through 485 The module is uploaded to a PC computer.


Multiple sensing electronic tags are distributed around the reader, and temperature measurement terminals can be added, deleted, and moved at will within the effective communication range. The reader is installed in the control center. The computer software of the control center monitors the temperature change of each point in real time. The temperature monitoring computer collects the operating temperature data of each monitoring point from the temperature measurement communication terminal, saves them in the database for a long time, and displays the monitoring points in real time. Once the temperature is found to be overheated, or the temperature rises sharply to the set alarm temperature, it will immediately alarm, so as to realize the heating status of the entire system without leaving home.
