What is an Energy-saving Transformer? Introduction of Energy-saving Transformer

Date:2023-05-24

The energy-saving transformer is a three-phase oil-immersed power transformer whose performance parameters are no-load and load loss are reduced by an average of more than 10% compared with GB/T6451.

Energy-saving Transformer

1. The concept of energy-saving transformer

Energy-saving transformers refer to "devices (10kV and 35kV voltage levels); Satons dry-type transformers whose product performance parameters are no-load and load loss is 10% lower than Gwr10228 (group I) on average.

2. Types of energy-saving transformers

There are "9", "10", "11" series of oil-immersed transformers and "9", "10" series of dry-type transformers, including stacked cores, wound cores and amorphous alloy cores.

3. Common types and advantages of energy-saving transformers

3.1 Wound core distribution transformer (sl type)

This kind of transformer has been adopted by some developed countries as early as the 1960s, and it has been gradually popularized in my country in recent years, especially in the second phase of the rural power grid transformation of the State Grid. The advantages of wound core transformers: reduce the no-load loss of the transformer by about 10-25%, which varies according to the transformer capacity; reduce the no-load current, generally 50% of the laminated core; the noise level of the transformer is significantly reduced by 22 to 1 level, and small transformers can be used To 37-42d mouth 3, reduce noise pollution to towns.

3.2 Single-phase distribution transformer (D1O type)

Most of these transformers are column-mounted, easy to install and close to the load center, and are usually sealed for less maintenance. Compared with the three-phase transformer with the same capacity, the no-load loss and load loss are small, the effective material consumption is also small, and the price is 20-30% lower.

3.3 Amorphous alloy distribution transformer

The no-load loss of amorphous alloy distribution transformers has dropped by 70-80%. The fundamental reason why it has not been fully promoted and used so far is the high price.

3.4 Dry type distribution transformer

Due to its simple structure, convenient maintenance, fire retardant, dustproof and other characteristics, it is widely used in occasions that have high requirements for safe operation. There are two main types of products; epoxy resin dry-type transformers and impregnated dry-type transformers (or called Nomex paper type).
